Muse's Matt Bellamy is showing his support for Ukraine with some heavy riffs.
In an Instagram video, Bellamy shreds Muse's new single "Won't Stand Down" on a guitar with a Ukraine flag sticker. He also rocks the Ukrainian colors with a yellow jacket over a light blue shirt.
"Won't Stand Down," the first new Muse song in four years, was released this past January. At the time, Bellamy described the track as being about "standing your ground against bullies, whether that be on the playground, at work or anywhere."
"Protecting yourself from coercion and sociopathic manipulation and to face adversity with strength, confidence and aggression," he said.
Bellamy joins the chorus of rock artists who've spoken out in support of Ukraine over the past week in response to Russia's invasion of the country. Bands including Green Day, Bring Me the Horizon and Imagine Dragons have canceled live shows in Russia due to the war.
