It is Girl Scout cookie season but this year will be the last that you will be able to get two varieties. Don’t worry the old standard such as Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs will be sticking around.

The Girl Scouts of the USA said that S’mores and Toast-Yay! will be retired.

The S’mores cookie was introduced in 2017 while the Toast-Yay! came out in 2021, CNN reported. Another popular cookie that sparked reselling on sites such as eBay - the Raspberry Rally - was discontinued in 2023, USA Today reported.

The GSUSA told USA Today that the soon-to-be-retired cookies may come back.

“Never say never! We routinely reevaluate our cookie lineup to make room for new innovations. Discontinuing Toast-Yay! and Girl Scout S’mores may lead to something new and delicious,” the organization said in a statement.

In addition to two cookies going away after this year, the price of a box may be more expensive.

Cookies may cost as much as $7 a box depending on what individual councils charge, CNN reported. But you will expect to pay at least $6, USA Today reported.

“In some instances, councils are faced with the tough decision to raise prices, though prices have remained steady in many areas for a number of years,” a GSUSA spokesperson told CNN.

USA Today said this year’s lineup includes:

  • Adventures
  • Caramel Chocolate Chip
  • Caramel deLites/Samoas
  • Do-si-dos/Peanut Butter Sandwich
  • S’mores
  • Lemonades
  • Lemon-Ups
  • Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs
  • Thin Mints
  • Toast-Yay!
  • Toffee-tatstic
  • Trefoils

Cookie sales launched this week at booths around the country and will be online next month.

GSUSA has about 2 million members.
