SLIPKNOT

Slipknot has been on break for over a year now so that each member can go off and work on side projects. However, the band is getting ready to release their long-anticipated follow-up to the "Disasterpieces" DVD. The new DVD, called "Voliminal" will be a two DVD package. The first DVD is a 90-Minute documentary hosted by Shawn Crahan that goes one-on-one with each of the band members. The Second DVD is full of band interviews, live performances, and music videos including "The Nameless", "Vermillion", and "Duality". The two disk DVD is expected to hit stored on December 5.

EVANESCENCE

It seems Evanescence couldn't catch a break during the recording of their forthcoming "The Open Door". Besides singer Amy Lee's public break-up with Seether frontman Shaun Morgan, the band was in a legal battle with their former manager, and their guitarist suffered a stroke. Now that the album is finished, everything has calmed down, right? WRONG! Evanescence bassist Will Boyd has decided to leave the band. Though Amy Lee is saddened, she says she is not surprised.

"Will had been sort of estranged 'cause he'd been doing a lot of stuff at home, and kind of getting comfortable staying close to home and feeling like the closer tour got, the less he wanted to go. I get it, he just didn't want to do the big, crazy, sacrifice your life tour again. We all understand that, we all get sick of tour sometimes. But that's just who Will is. He's kind of a homebody and I love him."

Evanescence has picked up The Revolution Smile bassist, Tim McCord as Boyd's replacement . Evanescence will put out their new album, "The Open Door" this Tuesday but you can preview the whole album on AOL Music.
