MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS

The 2006 MTV Video Music Awards will air tonight on...you guessed it...MTV. The show starts 7pm. The Red Hot Chili Peppers video for "Dani California" has seven nominations including Video of the Year. This year's rock performers include Panic at the Disco, All American Rejects, The Killers, My Chemical Romance, The Raconteurs, with appearances by Axl Rose, Fallout Boy, Evanescence singer Amy Lee, and 30 Seconds To Mars' Jared Leto.

LINKIN PARK

Last May, Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda said the band's next studio album was near completion and would be released before the end of the year. Unfortunately for Linkin Park fans, Shinoda jumped the gun and now states that the album won't be ready until early next year. Legendary producer Rick Rubin is co-producing the project. As of right now, the band has 50-60 songs to choose from but neither Shinoda nor Rubin know how many songs will appear on the final product.

PEEPING TOM
