LINKIN PARK'S PROJEKT REVOLUTION

Tickets for Linkin Park's Projekt Revolution tour go on sale today at 10am at Ticketmaster locations. The tour will visit the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre August 21st and the other day I spoke with LP bassist Phoenix and he told me how the band plans to make this tour different than their winter tour.

PHOENIX: "I think this time around, one thing we really wanna do that will hopefully make it fun for the fans, but definitely make it fun us, is introduce some new material, try and revamp some older songs and maybe do different renditions of those. Also, we're trying to have a new song or two that we can begin to start trying out on the road, do that in addition to changing up the set, change the look of the staging and everything like that.

The Projekt Revolution tour also features Korn, Snoop Dogg, The Used and Less Than Jake.

SEVENDUST

Sevendust will issue their live acoustic CD and DVD on May 4th titled "SouthSide Double-Wide". You can watch the band perform the song "Black" in the "video" section of www.sevendust.com

METALLICA

The filmmakers behind Metallica's documentary "Some Kind of Monster" are featured in a new interview with U-Wire.com. Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky said the band spent $4 million of their own money to fund the film and here's an excerpt of the interview:

Berlinger added, "How much courage does it take to, first of all, tell your record label to f--- off in this age of declining record sales and downloading to say, 'You know what, we don't want this great promotional vehicle to sell records, we want to do what's right for this project.' B) To let it be filmed, to then pay for it, then to say, 'You know what, we're going to let these guys make the film that they want to make' and we're going to pay for it, and then to let it out the way it is."
