QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE
The new Queens of the Stone Age album "Lullabies to Paralyze" will debut at #5 on Monday's Billboard album sales chart with just under 97,000 copies sold. Leader Josh Homme describes how he measures success.
HOMME: "My goals and my yardstick is different from MTVs ... I don't need to be Celine Dion gigundo. My yardstick is 'Are you learning from your mistakes? Are you making records better than before? Are you becoming a better person?' The hardest thing to do is to make your 15th record your best record. It's easy to make 'live fast and die young' - all you need is drugs and a car."
THE WHITE STRIPES
The White Stripes record label, V2, will issue their as-yet-untitled album on June 14th. Frontman Jack White says the recording process is done, but they need to mix and master the tracks.
