A PERFECT CIRCLE

A Perfect Circle guitarist Billy Howerdel says their song "The Outsider" questions why someone would commit suicide.

HOWERDEL: "I mean it seems pretty straight-forward to me. You know, that... someone that doesn't understand why someone would do this, just can't understand why someone would take their own life... or be so destructive as to get almost to that point. And you know, some people are just made that way and some aren't. I mean it seems pretty straight-forward to me, but it's a pretty emotional song for us."

Coincidentally, after the song was recorded, a close friend of the band committed suicide, but a name was not released.

A Perfect Circle will be at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin Monday, May 31st. Tickets are $29.50 + a service charge and go on sale this Saturday 10am at Texas Box Office locations. WHICH MEANS, San Antonio residents can purchase tickets online at www.texasboxoffice.com or by phone 512-477-6060.

SLIPKNOT

A new Slipknot song "Pulse of the Maggots" is available as an MP3 on the band's website: www.slipknot1.com. Click "enter here" when the page loads.

Slipknot's new album "Vol. 3 (the subliminal verses)" will be out May 25th and the lead track "Duality" is expected to arrive at KISS in April.

VELVET REVOLVER

A Slash fansite has posted interview clips featuring Slash and Duff McKagan talking with the U.K.'s Virgin Radio about Velvet Revolver's forthcoming debut album "Contraband", due June 8th.

MARILYN MANSON

"Rolling Stone" magazine will be releasing 3 commemorative issues later this year commemorating 50 years of Rock N Roll. A list of "The Immortals" is available on the "Rolling Stone" website HERE.

The commemorative issues will include testimonials by musicians, like U2's Bono discussing Elvis Presley, who is listed as the #3 Immortal. Foo Fighter's Dave Grohl talks about Led Zeppelin (#14) and Marilyn Manson pays homage to The Doors, who are listed at #41. You can read a scan of Manson's testimonial HERE.
