Alt-metal giants Faith No More recently reunited after an 11-year silence for a comeback jaunt. The appropriately titled Second Coming tour, which has been going on for the last four months, has taken them to almost every corner of the world. Notably absent? North American dates. The closest they were to get to the United States was Mexico, where they're scheduled to play three dates in mid-November. That is about to change. Today bassist Billy Gould released this statement to his Twitter account: "Tweet THIS: In response to all of our concerned US brethren...YES...we are now actively planning US dates." No further information is available at this time.

Faith No More rocketed to fame off the strength of their highly successful third album, 1989's The Real Thing, which spawned such singles as the now-classic "Epic." They're still hailed as one of the better bands to come out of the funk-metal scene of the '80s and '90s. Even though the band officially broke up in 1998, its members have largely stayed busy over the years, with singer Mike Patton playing in Mr. Bungle, Fantômas, Peeping Tom and others; keyboardist Roddy Bottum having minor success with Imperial Teen; drummer Mike Bordin working with Ozzy Ozbourne and Alice in Chains' Jerry Cantrell; and Gould working on various lower-profile metal projects.
